A solution for the Philippines

When you live in the Philippines' capital, Manila, you are used to seeing motorcycle vehicles everywhere. Perhaps, I believe that it is similar for the rest of the country. We hear road accidents on the news almost everyday. In 2012, it is said that motorcycle accidents are the fourth top cause of death in the Philippines, with an average of 16,208 mishaps recorded every year. That is quite big of a number isn't it?

There have been a few times that I thought of making a solution for this problem. I have been thinking while I was stuck in traffic, while I was eating my delicious meal and while I was waiting for myself to fall asleep. I thought, what is with these vehicles anyway? And I came up with a list.

1. It is cheap

This is pretty obvious. Motorcycles are much cheaper than cars, even the smallest one. If you are an average worker, who gets an average salary that is probably just enough for you to survive and live in this planet, you can just settle for a motorcycle.

2. You will surpass traffic

It is no surprise that once you are in this country's capital, you definitely WILL experience traffic. And the solution by most people: Motorcycles. I actually envy some countries that are bicycle-friendly, where people from all classes can just use bicycles as means of transportation and not worry about getting hit by fast vehicles simply because they are bicycle-friendly! I guess to achieve that here in the Philippines, there is still a long way to go. Therefore, to surpass traffic, motorcycles are born. Hehe. Just kidding, but you know what I mean, right?

3. Saves transportation cost

Another reason I thought of is that motorcycles simply let people save transportation cost. Not only will you get to your destination in time, but you will be able to save as well. Just a liter of gasoline will take you to more places than you could in using car.

I have considered all these reasons and thought of a solution, even just in my imagination. I thought of a a vehicle that has probably the size of a motorcycle -- with cover. This is for protection from a crash and also to have water shield when it begins to rain.
I also thought that it will be nice if one can sit very comfortably while in the vehicle. The comfort that we feel when inside a car.
Also, since I have considered everything I have listed above, I wanted this vehicle to be cheap as well as its consumption of gas.

Just a few days, I was able to watch a video posted by one of my friends in youtube. I said, "That's exactly what's on my mind!!" Whoever had invented this, I have to commend him. I do hope that this will be a hit in the Philippines.
I do not know where to get this though. And if I would be given a chance to know how, I would like to grab that opportunity. I'd like to meet the inventor of this!!!
